When my boys were little, we would go to my good friend&#39;s orchard and pick something like 6 -10 brown paper sacks full of apples and then come home and get super messy, peeling, coring and cooking them to make apple butter for Christmas presents every year. We would get like 60 pint size jars! Then, we would pick out fabric and cut out circles with pretty sewing scissors to make fun edges and tie with beautiful ribbon! Gosh those were good times...now my boys are teenagers and they just like to EAT the apple butter! :-) Lovely recipes, Heathy.
