When I returned home from my Christmas vacation, a box of goodies from Twin Cakes Bakery was awaiting me. I was SO excited to finally try the creations of Michelle and Lori, two of my favorite blogger friends and chefs extraordinaire!
Crackers, balls, and biscotti in multiple flavors. Mmm! I didn't know where to begin! Actually... yes I did. Sweets first, lol. These were the last sweet things I ate two days ago before starting my sugar cleanse yesterday.
The chocolate truffles were absolutely delicious. Rich and chocolatey - dark with with enough sweetness. I love the crunch of cacao nibs on the outside. I'm huge on textures.
Cocoa coconut bite was yummy. Think chocolate macaroon!
Carob brownie. Well I love my carob! The texture was much different than the others, I think due to the coconut butter and carob together. Loved it!
The mint chip coconut bites were an explosion of peppermint when I opened the bag. Biting into one was even better. Mint, coconut, and chocolate are three of my fave flavors so these were one of my favorites.
I loved the cashew nib dough ball the best! These are sweet with a chewy texture and again, crunchy nibs just round it all out.
Spiced cacao dough ball was lovely too. First I tasted the chocolate and then the cinnamon and the heat of the cayenne came in at the end in a wave.
Mesquite cacao biscotti was my least fave but still nice. I LOVED the cardamom almond biscotti though! So light and crunchy and flavorful. I haven't tried the cashew biscotti yet as I didn't notice it at the bottom of the pile and won't be having any sweet things for a while.
Onto the crackers... these are all super crunchy and just the right thickness.
The plain jane crackers are my favorite, with the base of buckwheat and sunflower seeds. I liked the spiced cheese crackers second. These could get addictive, especially with a spread on them!
The collard green onion crackers were nice and I sprinkled some on my salad for a flavorful crunch. Not a fan of the savory kale crackers - even though I like kale. I found the taste a bit strong but work well in a salad or with a spread on top.
Have you tried any goodies from Twin Cakes Bakery??
